[Wood] Plank Textures
Plank wood textures are built around long, parallel boards rather than the irregular grain blocks used for tile or paneling squares. Seams have to line up cleanly when the texture repeats, and grain direction must stay consistent along each board's length.

What's in this collection
- Reclaimed boards — salvaged-look planks with uneven tone and old nail holes.
- Weathered boards — sun-bleached and rain-worn surfaces with faded grain.
- Natural boards — clean, evenly toned planks straight off the mill.
- Long-run layouts — wide boards suited to flooring and deck surfaces.
All tiles are seamless in both directions and delivered at high resolution.
Where Plank Wood is used
Flooring. Hardwood floor runs in visualization and games.
Decking. Exterior scenes needing worn or fresh board surfaces.
Wall paneling. Horizontal or vertical board cladding indoors.
Furniture. Tabletops, crates, and rustic furniture builds.
How to use these in Blender
- Unzip the pack into your textures folder.
- Add a Principled BSDF and load the base color map into its Base Color input.
- Plug the normal map through a Normal Map node into the Normal input.
- Set UV scale so board length runs along the correct axis.
How to use these in Unreal Engine 5
- Import the maps and let UE5 build the material instance.
- Wire base color, normal, and roughness into a new Material.
- Add a WorldAlignedTexture node if the mesh lacks matching UVs.
- Apply to a floor or wall mesh and check tiling at camera distance.
How to use these in Unity
- Import textures and set the normal map's texture type to Normal Map.
- Create a Material using the Standard or URP Lit shader.
- Assign albedo, normal, and roughness maps to their slots.
- Adjust Tiling in the inspector to match board scale.
Tips for Plank Wood specifically
Keep board seams subtle — heavy dark lines make a floor read as tile instead of wood. Keep specular highlights soft rather than glossy for interior scenes.
Rotate UVs 90 degrees when moving a texture from floor to wall panel, since board direction should match gravity.
Mix two or three plank variants across a floor to break up repetition.

Wood textures are organized into volumes, each containing multiple packs. New volumes are added continuously.
