[Crystal] Clear Textures
Clear crystal strips away color entirely and leaves just structure and light — transparent quartz points, facets, and internal fractures that refract and scatter whatever hits them. It's the hardest crystal type to render convincingly, and the one that rewards it most.

What's in this collection
- Clear quartz point — a faceted, naturally terminated crystal tip.
- Clear faceted crystal — cut, symmetrical glass-like surfaces.
- Clear crystal with inclusions — internal fractures and mineral flecks.
- Clear crystal cluster — multiple transparent points grouped together.
All tiles are seamless in both directions and delivered at high resolution.
Where Clear Crystal is used
Fantasy and sci-fi props. Clear crystal reads as magic focus items, energy sources, and alien technology.
Jewelry visualization. Diamond-adjacent renders rely on clear crystal's refraction and internal light behavior.
Architectural glass detailing. Clear crystal textures inform decorative glass and chandelier elements.
Scientific and educational visualization. Mineralogy content needs accurate clear quartz reference material.
How to use these in Blender
- Import base color, normal, and roughness maps in the Shading tab.
- Connect each map into a Principled BSDF's matching input.
- Set Transmission near 1.0 and lower roughness for glassy clarity.
- Enable Raytraced Transmission in render settings for accurate refraction.
How to use these in Unreal Engine 5
- Import the texture set into your Content Browser.
- Create a Material and set the shading model to Translucent.
- Wire Normal and Roughness maps into their matching inputs.
- Enable Screen Space or Lumen reflections for convincing highlights.
How to use these in Unity
- Add the maps to your Textures folder with correct import types.
- Create a Material using a transparent HDRP or URP shader.
- Assign Normal and Smoothness maps to their slots.
- Reduce Metallic to zero and push Smoothness near maximum.
Tips for Clear Crystal specifically
Transparency alone won't sell clear crystal — internal reflections and refraction do most of the visual work here.
Add subtle chromatic aberration or dispersion in post for hero shots; pure white light through clear crystal looks flat without it.
Keep facet normal maps sharp and defined; soft, blurred facets are the fastest way to make clear crystal look like plastic.
