[Paper] Corrugated Textures

Corrugated paper gets its structure from a fluted inner layer sandwiched between flat sheets — the same ridged core used in shipping boxes, scaled down to a paper-thin surface. It's stiffer and more dimensional than plain cardboard.

How to use these in Blender

  1. Import base color, normal, and roughness maps in the Shading tab.
  2. Connect each map into a Principled BSDF's matching input.
  3. Use a Mapping node to align flute direction with your box edges.
  4. Add a Bump node for extra depth on the ridged surface.

How to use these in Unreal Engine 5

  1. Import the texture set into your Content Browser.
  2. Create a Material and wire Base Color, Normal, and Roughness.
  3. Match flute orientation to box fold lines for consistency.

Keep the flute direction consistent across a box's faces — mismatched ridge orientation is an easy tell that breaks realism.
