[Wall] Exposed Brick Textures

Exposed brick wall textures cover interior brick left bare after plaster or drywall is stripped away — uneven mortar lines, patched sections, and mixed tone across the same wall. It reads very differently from a clean exterior facade.

What's in this collection

  • Stucco-patched brick — sections where old plaster still clings to the surface.
  • Plaster-edged brick — brick meeting a plaster border along the wall's edge.
  • Painted exposed brick — a coat of paint worn thin across the brick face.
  • Cracked exposed brick — aged mortar joints with visible cracking.

All tiles are seamless in both directions and delivered at high resolution.

Where Exposed Brick Wall is used

Loft interiors. The signature look for converted warehouse and apartment scenes.

Restaurants and cafes. A common backdrop material in interior visualization.

Urban game levels. Interior walls in warehouses, basements, and back alleys.

Renovation visualization. Showing a wall mid-strip, before drywall or paint.

How to use these in Blender

  1. Unzip the pack into your textures folder.
  2. Load the base color map into a Principled BSDF's Base Color input.
  3. Plug the normal map through a Normal Map node.
  4. Adjust UV scale so mortar lines match your wall's real-world size.

How to use these in Unreal Engine 5

  1. Import the maps and let UE5 build the material instance.
  2. Wire base color, normal, and roughness into a new Material.
  3. Add a WorldAlignedTexture node for meshes without matching UVs.
  4. Apply to interior wall meshes and check tiling up close.

How to use these in Unity

  1. Import textures and set the normal map's texture type to Normal Map.
  2. Create a Material with the Standard or URP Lit shader.
  3. Assign albedo, normal, and roughness maps to their slots.
  4. Adjust Tiling in the inspector to match brick scale.

Tips for Exposed Brick Wall specifically

Vary tone slightly across a large wall rather than tiling one texture edge to edge — real exposed brick rarely stays uniform across a room.

Pair with a plaster or drywall texture at the seam where the brick was stripped, since that transition sells the "exposed" look.

Keep the roughness map high; exposed brick is rarely glossy even under bright interior lighting.
